2 Hour Fire Rated Fire Curtains
- The D & D Roller Shutters Fire Flame Curtain is strong enough to contain a fire for up to 2 hours, slowing down the spread of fire and smoke.
- As the curtain is made of heavy duty fibre glass, means of escape can still be achieved, if necessary, by simply lifting up the bottom of the rail.
- Flame Curtains have been rigorously tested by Exova Warringtonfire to BS476: Part 22 1987 and BSEN1634-1:2008 standard.
- Exova Warringtonfire offers independent fire engineering, testing and certification services that are a globally-respected mark of quality assurance. During testing, the product is fitted on the furnace side replicating the most severe conditions of a fire. The temperature of the furnace is then increased to 1000°C at a rate defined by the product standards.
Fire Curtain: Unobtrusive In Design
- The fire curtain is ideal for shopping centres, department stores, restaurants, hospitals and large open plan offices.
- They offer greater protection on windows and doors and can contain a fire within a lift.
- The D & D Roller Shutters Fire Flame Curtain is aesthetically pleasing as it only operates in the event of a fire. Unobtrusive in design, it is invisible when not in use but is automatically activated in the event of a fire alarm or power failure.
Auto-Operation On All Fire Curtains
- In the event of the fire alarm being activated the fire curtain will automatically be lowered within seconds.
- The D & D Roller Shutters Fire Flame Curtain when lowered can divide up large open spaces to slow down the spread of fire, allowing a safe evacuation of the building.
Gravity Fail System
- The gravity fail system ensures that if there is a total power failure i.e. if the mains power supply and the battery back up both fail, the fire curtain will still descend at a steady rate under its own weight.
Made to Measure Fire Curtains
- All of our fire curtains are made to measure to your exact specifications and designed to completely integrate with its surroundings.
- All motors are contained within the box housing unit, allowing for ease of access for maintenance and are available in various sizes to minimise space constraints.
Colour Choices for Fire Curtains at an extra cost
- The box housing unit is manufactured from galvanised steel and powder coated in white as standard.
- Other RAL colours are available as an optional extra.
- The curtain is stainless steel wire reinforced glass fabric in a grey finish.
