Insurance Rated D&D SecurityShield 3801
Unlike other certificated roller shutters, Insurance Rated SecurityShield 3801 (tested and approved to LPS 1175-1) uses a 38 mm double-walled extruded aluminium slat, which coils very tightly into a range of compact boxes (165 mm-250 mm), minimising their visual impact. Anti-vandal windlocks are fitted as standard. These roller shutter doors are ideal for commercial and domestic installations where aesthetic considerations are paramount.

D&D SecurityShield 7501 Transparent Or Solid High Security Shutter is tested and approved to LPS 1175-1. It provides maximum vision without compromising on security.

D&D Guard 1001 - Insurance and police approved Retractable Security Gate
Enhanced Security Retractable Security Gate. The high security New D & D Guard 1001 Retractable Security Gate is tested and approved to LPS 1175-1. Ideal security gate for enhanced burglary protection for home, retail and offices.
The Range
To spot a police approved or insurance rated product simply look for the number 1 at the end of the product name. For example the New SecurityShield 3801 is the Insurance rated version of the D&D SecurityShield 3800. Upgraded Security Shutter Doors
We know that sometimes standard security isn’t good enough. That’s why D and D Roller Shutters have launched their insurance approved and secured by design ranges.
As well as our security products being SR2 rated as standard, we are now offering upgraded versions of our products which have been through rigorous strength and stress testing as well as having to go through a police attack test. You can view these tests here.
Only once the shutter has passed these tests has it been awarded the LPCB (loss prevention Certification Board) Secured by Design badge. This certifies that it is built to police approved specification and has passed assessments to standards ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 cert/LPCB ref.390
SR1 is the lowest level of security recognised by the LPCB. To meet this standard, products must be able to withstand opportunistic attempts at forced entry using minimal tools. The tester can use tools listed under tool category A in the LPS 1175 testing manual — which includes hand-held items such as spanners, knives, and screwdrivers — to attempt to force entry for a total attack time of up to a minute, over a period of 5 minutes.
SR2 testing simulates a more determined opportunistic attack. To reach this standard, a piece of security equipment must withstand a 3-minute attack from an assailant equipped with items from tool category B in the LPS 1175 testing manual — this includes claw hammers, hand drills, and junior hacksaws.
